Katie, I have some of the same problems with my hair, although it is not red! That Moroccan oil looks like a very nice product. Do you have to heat up the oil before applying, or is it like any other conditioner?

    • Katie says:

No Aya and it is great! It comes in a pump bottle, which disperses just enough, not wasteful, rub it over both palms and work it through your wet hair. I also add some to a misting bottle filled with water for touch ups on my curly dry hair. I know you get that! I love love LOVE this product. Its awesome. Enjoy! Katie

This oil sounds good. I do not have curly hair, but my hair tends to be on the wavy side. I love using tiare oil, which is a French Polynesian oil that is a mixture of tiare flower oil and coconuts.

    • Katie says:

Hmmmm I’ve never tried that but I have tried coconut products for my hair. The thing I love about Moroccan Oil is the way it penetrates into the hair shaft making you hair as if its not dry but naturally normal and shiny without looking or feeling oily. Plus, the aroma is really nice. Thanks for adding your oil hair tip, always appreciated. Katie 🙂

i have exactly the same type of hair! no shampoo or conditioner will work, weather it be keratin smoother or anti frizz, nothing. However like you I have found that some oils work marginaly. I have been trying one drop argan oil and one drop castor oil to medium damp hair and it does slightly work, but it looks a little oily :'( also which moroccan oil do you use because there were many types when I googled it? thanks 😀

Hamish, I use the first bottle shown at the top in the product section. I love it and it does not make my hair look oily. The trick is to avoid working the oil into the scalp. I hang my head upside down after I wash it, pump three squirts into my palm, rub both hands together and then gently work it through the ends of my hair first, I then run my hands throughout the rest of my hair. Note, this is leave a lesser amount of oil on my hands to touch up the areas that might normally appear oily after my hair dries. Thanks for adding this great question.
